Beech is the only hardwood that is used in the construction of the cases for Petrof grand pianos and the piano's damper guide rail is exclusively made from horn beam wood. All the woods used are dried to the international standard of six percent. Petrof does not tolerate laminated soundboards and their bridges are cut, notched, and pinned by hand. Even the stringing is done by hand by Petrof's skilled craftsmen. Petrof's plates are also hand cast in order to achieve the perfect acoustic balance.

Petrof's grand actions have no plastic parts and the finest cured hardwoods are used. The components are hand-fitted and aligned to close tolerances. The action center bearings are made using Kashmir felts. The hammers are specially reinforced to ensure precise timing in string contact and are made using the best virgin wool. Petrof pianos are also finished only using the more exotic veneers that are imported thus making them uniquely splendid.
